Golden Buddha Turquoise Shrine Necklace
This turquoise Buddha shrine pendant was made by hand by the Tibetan craftspeople and collected by us directly from them in Nepal.
This type of pendant (a variation of the Tibetan Gau) would traditionally be worn during pilgrimage for good luck and protection on the trip. At night the shrine would be set up as a shrine centerpiece in the tent encampments. This is a wonderful piece of jewelry to wish someone "bon voyage", or for someone whose spiritual journey could use a guide (mine could always use another guide!)
